Please join the Northeast Delta CIT in fulfilling our mission to provide specialized training for officer safety and for understanding for persons in a mental illness crisis. Contributions will help to fund direct training of law enforcement as well as community education and awareness for CIT and mental illnesses.
The parent of the Northeast Delta CIT is the Region VIII Mental Health Community Response Task Force. This Task Force is a non-profit corporation. Therefore, we can provide a receipt for your donations which are tax deductible.
The Northeast Delta CIT receives partial funding through the Region VIII Office of Mental Health of the State of Louisiana. Many individual police departments, sheriff’s offices, and the North Delta Regional Police Academy provide locations for training and provide course instructors. The University of Louisiana at Monroe, individual businesses, and other organizations contribute time and expertise through instructors. Many agencies and individuals provide refreshments.

The downloadable Donation & Acknowlegment Form also provides a way to donate “In Honor of” or “In Memory of”. We can send an acknowledgment of the donation to whomever you designate. The form also provides some necessary information for us to be able to provide you with a tax deductible receipt.
